The next LARC meeting will be September 12, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lynchburg Public Library meeting room. All with an interest in Amateur Radio are welcome.
The Virginia Ten Miler will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2008. This year's race is the 35th running of the race, and LARC member have assisted with every race. Most positions are filled but there is still room for more course observers. A 2 meter portable is all that you need (along with your ham license...) to participate. Contact geep@wa4rts.net to volunteer.
In October, the Valley and Masanutten clubs will assist with the Grindstone 100 Mile foot race. More volunteers are needed, contact Geep if you are interested and free October 3-4-5 or any time during that period. Race starts at 6 pm on 10/3 and ends 38 hours later. A challenge!
